The Palace of Holyroodhouse is located in Edinburgh, in front of the Scottish Parliament. The Queen stays there at the end of June to the beginning of July. Like Buckingham Palace, it is possible to visit this magnificent building. And like the palace in London, photography is not allowed inside. However, we still had fun looking around and it is very nice to hear the children make a connection between a historical character and the painting & personal effects they saw.
It was good that we started early, parking was easy to find in the town centre early in the morning and we were able to enjoy sightseeing even after visiting the palace.
