Here we visited Montacute House in Somerset. It is a magnificent example of Elizabethan Renaissance architecture and it is managed by National Trust, making is possible for everyone to enjoy. Unfortunately for us, the weather wasn’t ideal for more outdoor exploration.
The children did find a lot of nook and crannies to hide.
Inside the house is an excellent example of a grand period interior with great spaces, works of arts, one of a kind furniture and other treasures.
This really amused me. A bath in a cupboard inside the bedroom!
I love the craftsmanship.
I love how wide these stairs are and bright! These stairs will take you to the National Portrait Gallery at Montacute House.
It was an excellent place to visit, better if it didn’t rain 🙂
