Yeovilton Air Day 2015

We recently drove to Somerset for the Yeovilton Air Day to see the last flight of the Vulcan. It was held at the Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton, Somerset and offers over 5 hours of spectacular displays. There was a huge variety of display on the ground as well.

The Vulcan at Yeovilton Air Day 2015
M1 enjoyed it I think 🙂 To be able to get inside some of the machines was fantastic!
There were mock battles between Apache helicopters with a huge explosion!
The Red Arrows were amazing and there’s plenty of opportunities for pictures!
There were flybys by other planes and of course the Vulcan.
And brave Royal Navy jumping out of some of them
There was also this little plane doing acrobatics which is exhilarating to watch.
It was a long drive for a day out so we stayed overnight in the nearest village we can find with available accommodations. I forgot the name of the place but it was about half an hour drive from the base.
If you’re looking to go to one of these types of events, the Military Airshows website is a great place to start.
